Elm wood is a very solid, bendable wood. It is often used for windmills but especially structures and joining. It is often hidden despite of its great esthetical qualities. Finding a new and best suitable way of using the Elm wood is the aim of this research. Pushing its limits, reducing the connections to the minimum and testing the solidity and its flexible characteristics is the translation of Solidistortion.
This shelf, playing between the 2D and 3D, is shaped by its content, that is to say the fruits or vegetables placed in it. Most of the vegetables and fruit shouldn’t be kept in the fridge in order to keep their quality and taste. Solidistortion allows maximum air circulation to facilitate the best conservation.
